As part of Blue Diamond’s financing plan to acquire eight Wyevale Garden Centres, Gilbert Evans advised BlackRock Investment Management on the sale and leaseback of three centres. The sites involved were two Wyevale properties, Melbicks and Percy Throwers and an existing Blue Diamond site, Brambridge.

“In 2015 we advised BlackRock Real Estate on its £112 million purchase of a portfolio of eight garden centres which included four of the Wyevale centres that are now part of the Blue Diamond portfolio, namely Cadbury, Endsleigh, Bicester and Cardiff.
“We were delighted to have the opportunity to advise BlackRock again and the sale and leaseback deal demonstrates that the garden centre industry continues to be an attractive market for investors.”
